You are in the historical heart of the city inside the first fortifications of Avenio (old name of Avignon) built under the Roman colonization in the 1st century. These first fortifications were later surrounded in the 13th century by a new construction by the Avignon between 1234 and 1248, of which there are currently some vestiges.
In the 14th century, with the installation of the popes in Avignon, the city was enlarged again. It was Pope Clement VI who agreed that the new palace of the popes, the liveries cardinalices, the abbeys, convents, and religious buildings of Avignon needed a more effective protection so in 1349, the Pope instructed Juan Fernandez de Heredia to build ramparts. Which were completed in 1359.
The house in which you are located dates from the 17th century. These are (were originally) the former stables of the Grand Hôtel Particulier in front of the south facade of the house overlooking Vernet Street. The wall with the pediment separating the two buildings was built at the beginning of the 20th century. The quiet house invites you to rest with its bright veranda, peaceful garden and refreshing stone basin. It provides an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the city, close to all the shops, bars and restaurants as well as all artistic, historical and tourist points of interest.
The guest house created in 2016 underwent major renovation in the winter of 2016/2017. The three bedrooms on the first floor were opened for rent in early May 2017. A second phase of work was carried out in the spring of 2018 to add a fourth room located on the ground floor as well as a wine bar with its seating areas around the large fireplace and on the terrace in the garden. Each room is decorated according to a theme of Avignon and in the classic style of the house.

Two apartments attached to the house are also rented from the month of April to the month of October. These are T2 apartments for four people, fully renovated and equipped very comfortably. They allow access to the common areas of the guest house.
Arrivals are between 5pm and 9pm. Please inform us in the morning if you arrive outside these hours. Arriving outside these hours without advance notice may result in an additional charge
Departures Check-out time is between 8:30 am and 11 pm. In case of departure before 8 :30 am, please contact us to check out the day before. You have the option to leave your luggage beside to the grand staircase to pick up later.
Taxis: We can book a taxi for you. The price of the transfer to the TGV station is 25 €.
Please hand us the keys of the room and the remote control of the car park before your departure.
We offer you a full breakfast starting at 9am for 15 € per adult and 10 € per child. Please notify us the day before 10 pm to book them. Without reservation from your breakfasts the day before, we can not guarantee the service. Breakfast can be served on the veranda, in the bar, in the room and in the garden, weather permitting.
We also have privatized parking lots at 100 meters from the guest house at an additional charge of 15 € per night. For stays longer than one night, a parking gate remote control can be provided. The Remote control can be taken for the day in the morning and returned to the same place every night. Please park exactly in the same location. At the end of your stay, you have the option to pick up your car after 11am if you tell us.

Various common areas are at your disposal. You can find at the top of the stairs a tea and coffee area (free) and on the ground floor a warm and friendly space with a television and a sound atmosphere. The garden and the pool are also at your disposal. Swimming in the pool is possible under your full responsibility, including that of your children.
All interior spaces are strictly non – smoking or vaping. The rooms and apartments have smoke detectors. You can smoke in the garden or in the terrace.
The rooms are also fully equipped with a TV, air conditioning and a safe.
